Budget Travel to Paradise Nepal

If you are looking for a paradise to travel to, consider the mystical lands of Nepal. You can eat Dalbhat, sleep cheap, trek independently and take a Bus to anywhere you want for less than $15 a day.

Kathmandu

The medieval Kathmandu offers you a superb value. You will be able to get value hotels ranging $5 – $15 a day. Along with that you will be able to get a decent dal bhat meal plan for less than $5 a day. However if you are thirsty its better you drink water because beer would charge you a hefty extra if you are on a budget. You will have best views of Kathmandu free while you take an excursion via the mystical gullies of ancient temples.

Pokhara

Pokhara, the city of lakes is the second most famous city for the travellers who come to Nepal. There is an array of budget restaurants, bars and hotels at the Fewa Lakeside where you can lay back and cherish wonderful scenes of Nature. A dorm would cost you Rs. 150 ($2) and if you have a tent along with you, a tent can be setup for free at Camping Chowk. However there are no other facilities and the nearest loo are at only located at the restaurants nearby.

Trekking

Get privileged with mesmerising Himalayan views on your affordable treks. Trekking trails such as Langtang Valley and Annapurna Sanctuary have very easy costing lodges with food for your entire stay. You don’t need to bother about stove, mat or tent. You also wouldn’t have to spend on guides or porters. If you setoff alone on the trail carrying your own back pack, you wouldn’t have to spend more than $15 for a day.

Gear

You wouldn’t require expensive equipments if you are looking for basic treks. Also you can hire gears at Thamel, Kathmandu. A sleeping bag would not cost you more than Rs 60 (80cents) or maybe a down jacket for Rs 50 (70 cents) a day.
